Marsha Maytum FAIA, LEED AP, is a founding Principal at Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects (LMSA) in San Francisco, winner of the 2017 National AIA Architecture Firm Award. For over 35 years Marsha has focused her career on community, cultural, and socially-responsible projects that promote sustainable design. Her work has included the creation of new buildings, rehabilitation of historic buildings, and adaptive reuse of existing structures.

LMSA has received over 140 regional, national and international design awards and has been recognized by organizations including the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, National Trust for Historic Preservation, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Green Building Council, and the 2014 ICC National Leadership in Sustainability Award. Eight of the firm’s projects have been named AIA COTE Top Ten Green Projects in the U.S.

​Marsha is a frequently invited juror and critic and has lectured nationally on the topics of sustainable design and adaptive reuse. She is a current member of the National AIA Committee on the Environment Advisory Group and has been the Pietro Belluschi Visiting Professor at the University of Oregon, the Howard A. Friedman Visiting Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and a visiting professor at the California College of the Arts.

As a native of Iowa, Channing is strongly influenced by the relationship of the Iowa landscape and its built environment. He has led the design effort of numerous private and public projects that approach the design of buildings through an understanding of the interdependence of building systems and components within their physical environments and local communities.  Of importance in Channing’s work is the idea of Clarity: the translation of high level aspirations into a coherent set of concrete actions that significantly improve the value of a project or process in terms of technical, economic, and environmental viability.

Since 2011, Channing has been a Principal of Neumann Monson Architects where he has helped lead the transformation of the firm.   Prior to joining Neumann Monson Architects, he began his career at Shiffler Associates Architects before spending 12 years at the influential firm of Herbert Lewis Kruse Blunck Architecture, the 2001 AIA National Firm of the Year.

Mike Nesbit, a native of Los Angeles, is currently a project designer at the award winning architecture firm, Morphosis.  Along with his current discipline, Mike is exploring areas between art and architecture, with an interest in technique and representation.  These particular interests have worked their way into gallery exhibits in Los Angeles to academic workshops at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Previous to current work, Mike played four years of professional baseball with the Seattle Mariners.  He received his Bachelor’s of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
